One of the best ways to learn a language is to hear it used in real, everyday situations. That's exactly what you'll find in this video.

In my last video, I showed you what I buy at the supermarket. In this one, I'm showing you what I actually do with all those ingredients. Over the course of a few days, I share the meals I prepare at home: a lentil soup, a buckwheat granola, and a couscous salad with pesto, along with a few little tips I use along the way.

This kind of content is known as comprehensible input: language that is understandable thanks to the context, visuals, and repetition. It's one of the most effective ways to improve your listening comprehension and naturally acquire new vocabulary.

Why Learn French Through Cooking?

Cooking is one of the easiest contexts to learn a new language in, because you can already guess a lot of what's happening just by watching. When I name an ingredient or an action, you're seeing it at the same time, which helps your brain connect the French word to its meaning without needing a translation.

In this video, you'll hear useful everyday French related to:

  • Cooking actions and techniques

  • Kitchen ingredients

  • Meal preparation vocabulary

  • Everyday spoken French

  • Daily routines

Even if you don't understand every word, that's completely normal. Try to focus on the overall meaning and enjoy the process.

Slow French for Beginners

This video is designed for beginners and lower intermediate learners who want more exposure to real French.

I speak more slowly and clearly than I would in a normal conversation, making it easier to follow along while still exposing you to authentic French sentence structures and vocabulary.

The goal isn't to memorize every word. The goal is to train your brain to understand French directly, little by little.

Bon appétit et bon apprentissage du français !
