One of the best ways to learn a language is to hear it used in real, everyday situations.

That's exactly what you'll find in this video.

Over the course of a few days, I take you with me as I get ready for a trip to France. We exercise, walk the dog, clean the house, pack our suitcases, and talk about everyday life—all while I speak slow and clear French.

Instead of studying isolated vocabulary lists or grammar rules, you'll hear French used naturally in authentic situations, making it easier to understand the language in context.

This kind of content is known as comprehensible input: language that is understandable thanks to the context, visuals, and repetition. It's one of the most effective ways to improve your listening comprehension and acquire new vocabulary naturally.

Why Learn French Through Daily Life?

Daily life is full of situations you'll encounter again and again in French.

When I talk about making the bed, doing the laundry, preparing lunch, packing a suitcase, or taking my dog for a walk, you're learning vocabulary that you can actually use in real life.

Because everything happens naturally on screen, it's much easier to connect words to their meanings without translation.

In this vlog, you'll hear useful everyday French related to:

  • Daily routines

  • Household chores

  • Cooking and meals

  • Travel and packing

  • Exercise and healthy habits

  • Everyday spoken French

Even if you don't understand every word, that's completely normal. Try to focus on the overall meaning and enjoy spending a few days with me.

Slow French for Beginners

This video is designed for beginners and lower intermediate learners who want more exposure to real French.

I speak more slowly and clearly than I would in a normal conversation, making it easier to follow along while still exposing you to authentic French sentence structures and vocabulary.

The goal isn't to memorize every word. The goal is to train your brain to understand French directly, little by little.

Bon apprentissage du français !
